LU starts MTA to cater to need of Tourism Industry

Lucknow: The revival of MBA (Tourism) course has come in the form of a two year full-time Masters in Tourism Administration (MTA) in the Lucknow University (LU).The programme will be administered by the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS),LU. The faculty of arts will be responsible for academic purposes and awarding the degrees to the students. The city that has to its credit large repositories of cultural and architectural heritage is certainly not to be a missed tourist spot. By learning the tourism concepts and geography of various tourist destinations,there is a chance for a better tourism administration, said ITS, Director Dr. Manoj Dixit.The course is spread into four semesters with special emphasis to personality enhancement and organisational behaviour.To increase the database,the students in their first semester will have a separate subject as Tourism Products of India.
